Remember | Elle's Studio | Family Fun | Tarrah McLean

Hi there Sassy Scrappers!

It's Tarrah McLean back with you and today I am excited to share a new layout created using the awesome Elle's Studio 'Family Fun' collection! This is my last layout using this collection, I have created 6 layouts all together using it and I love how they turned out!

I had some of that gorgeous chevron paper left over and decided I wanted to use some to back a star cut file....the cut file is from Just Nick Studio and I cut it out of white cardstock, I then went ahead and backed lots of the stars with the papers....I absolutely love how this turned out!

Once the stars were all backed I then adhered it in to place on the background paper. I chose a couple of those awesome journal cards to mat my photo and I knew I wanted to include that grey tag on this layout too!

Embellishing was super easy with the puffy stickers, acrylic shapes, wood veneer and ephemera all being used to embellish this layout! A few splatters of mist and the date stamp finish off my layout!

Unforgettable Mixed Media Layout by Farrel Tailor

Hello there Sassy Fans! Today I am sharing with you all a mixed media layout I created using some more fabulous products from 13 Arts. There is a process video at the end of the blog if you would like to see me in action.

Earlier this year I taught on a scrapbooking cruise and took this selfie of the girls working hard in one of my classes. As some of you know I have 3 boys which means I use a lot of blues in my scrapbooking. So I was super excited to be able to create a page that was just for the girls!!!

So let me give you a quick run through on how I created this layout. I started by building my photo mount using 13 Arts Fly Away pp - Days and Nights. I used both sides of the pp and also used the A4 sticker sheet for the title and the small doilies.

To build my background I used gel medium to seal my paper and then applied 13arts Ayeeda Mist Pastel Green with a paint brush and water. Once dry I then used 13arts Ayeeda Mist Pastel Pink using the dabbing effect and splattered the page using both mists.

Then I stamped the background using Kaisercraft Diamond stamp and Ranger Emboss It Dabber (Versamark pad is fine to use also) and then heat embossed with Lindy's Stamp Gang Embossing Powder Guten Tag Teal

Before adhering my photo cluster, I painted the edges of the cluster and the doilies with 13arts Ayeeda Mist Pastel Pink and mounted the cluster using some scrap chipboard pieces.

The butterflies I fussy cut from 13arts Fly Away pp - Days and Night and I only adhered the center of the butterflies so I could add dimension by bending the wings. Then to finish off the layout I used a Dymo Label machine to add the date.

Thanks for dropping and I can't wait to share with you all my next project

Farrel xx

Thankful | Elle's Studio Family Fun | Tarrah McLean

It's Tarrah McLean here and today I am sharing a new layout that I have created using the gorgeous Family Fun collection by Elle's Studio..

This photo of myself and my Mum is one of my all time favourite photos of the 2 of us.....its just a selfie we took together when we were holidaying in London earlier this was a gorgeous day and we were near Tower Bridge and down by the Thames river.

I have been trying to make a conscious effort to add journaling to my layouts lately, I really the look of journal strips so I type up my journaling on my computer using a typewrite font and then print it out and cut it up into strips. For this layout, I machine stitched underneath each strip to help highlight the journaling and to secure it a little more.

I just love all the colours included in the Family Fun collection.....they co-ordinate perfectly together so it makes creating any project super easy! This week I kept my layout fairly simple but it still tells a story and documented a special day and time with my Mum!

Thank you so much for stopping by the Sassy blog today! Be sure to check out the Sassy store to find this collection to purchase and check out all the other amazing goodies in store to buy!

Elle's Studio Family Fun | Agnus Kasprzak

Hi again :) You know you love a collection when you want to use every last bit of it up and that is exactly how I'm feeling about the awesome range of items from the Elle's Studio Family Fun collection!

I already showed you how I have used this collection for my project life album here and here and used many of the same patterns for my 12x12 layout.

I used a fun Hearts Background cut file from the Silhouette Design store and backed each heart with an assortment of patterned papers from both the 6x6" paper stack and individual 12x12" sheets but if you don't have a cutting machine you could easily cut out some heart shapes by hand. I deliberately choose patterns that contained some white to give them a cohesive look, with just a few solid red hearts for contrast. I also used a scattering of puffy heart stickers across the page and cut down one of the tags from the bits & pieces pack to help ground the date strip I stamped onto a snippet of patterned paper.

I used a few small tags from the cut out sheets along with a title from the puffy stickers to frame my photo and just like with my pocket pages, I often look for an element that will help tie my design together... in this case it's the white borders around the cut file hearts that work with the plain white background and I also like how the borders also help to make all the colours pop against the woodgrain pattern.

Together | Elle's Studio Family Fun | Tarrah McLean

Happy Friday! It's Tarrah McLean here and today I am sharing a new layout with you created using the Elle's Studio 'Family Fun' collection!

I absolutely love that rainbow chevron paper and secretly didn't really want to cut into it lol! However I decided if I used a cut file, I could back the cut file and still see lots of the paper without it overpowering my layout too much! I decided on some cloud shapes for my cut files and went ahead and backed some of the clouds with the paper.

Once the clouds were all backed I added some foam adhesive to help pop them up on the page...I arranged them how I liked them before completely adhering them down...

Because the cut file clouds decided the design for me, the embellishing part was easy....I used some wood veneer, acrylic shapes, puffy stickers and ephemera all from the Elle's Studio Family Fun collection!

Once I was happy with how my layout was looking, I finished it off my adhering everything down properly and misted some black mist.

Thanks so much for stopping by the Sassy blog today!
